Week 17 NFL Lines And Odds: Chiefs Vs. Broncos

The Denver Broncos are favored by a field goal over the Kansas City Chiefs on New Year's Day. Will the Broncos be able to pick up a win by more than a field goal?

The Denver Broncos just need to win on Sunday when they host the Kansas City Chiefs, but that's certainly not going to be easy. The Broncos will need to go up against the quarterback they released at the end of November, Kyle Orton. Combine that with a two-game losing streak and we can see why the Broncos are just 3.5 point favorites against the Chiefs, according to Odds Shark, and has moved to three points on other lines. The oddsmakers are seeing close to even belief in which team will win the game.

The Chiefs are already out of playoff contention, having fallen out of the picture with an overtime loss to the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. With nothing of real substance left to play for, Kyle Orton could prove to be the bane of the Broncos' existence to start the New Year.

The over/under for this game opened at 36.5 points and has moved up on at least one line to 37 points. That might prove to be a bit low, especially if Tebow has a case of the interceptions again and throws a couple of picks-six, as he did in the 40-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
