Neck injuries are dangerous for any NFL player, but that might go double for a 16-year veteran like Brian Dawkins. Dawkins has been battling a neck injury since Week 14 against the Chicago Bears, and its forced him to miss the Denver Broncos' last two games. It's unclear whether or not Dawkins will be able to play again this season, and now there are beginning to be doubts about whether or not Dawkins will be able to play in the NFL ever again.
Mike Klis of the Denver Post is reporting that there are concerns in Denver that Dawkins' neck injury may end his career. Dawkins, perhaps unsurprisingly, is brushing aside that conversation, and is more focused on getting back on the field this season. But if Dawkins is unable to return, the rumblings about the state of his career will continue to get louder.
