Buffalo Bills kicker Dave Rayner finally made good on a field goal against the Denver Broncos, but just barely. A false start penalty moved the ball from the five-yard line to the 10, and any further back and the ball likely would not have gone through the uprights. But this 28-yarder did and now the Broncos lead, 7-3.
Bills wide receiver Steve Johnson has killed the Broncos in the second quarter. He burned through the Broncos for a 16-yard catch earlier in the quarter and then followed that up with a 55-yard catch on the field goal drive. That catch put the Bills on Denver's 12-yard line. But the drive didn't have any more big plays left in it.
