The Denver Broncos square off against a struggling, through relatively healthy, Buffalo Bills team on Saturday, Week 16. The Bills have lost six straight games after their 5-2 start, and several key compenents of their offense enter the Broncos game hurting, according to the Week 16 injury report from the Broncos' Twitter account:
Out
- TE Lee Smith
- RB Johnny White
- WR Ruvell Martin
Probable
- WR Steve Johnson
- TE Scott Chandler
The Bills' leading receiver with 872 yards, Steve or Stevie Johnson, has been struggling with a groin injury that has limited him in practice this week. With Johnson, Martin, two tight ends and the backup running back on the injured list this week, the Bills may lean ever more heavily on their punishing running game, which has average 4.8 yards per rush in 2011.
RB C.J. Spiller expects to fill the starting role in place of the injured Fred Jackson, but despite being a backup, the 24-year-old Spiller has averaged a whopping 5.0 yards per attempt.
