The Denver Broncos are slight road favorites against the Buffalo Bills this Christmas Eve, but a playoff spot is in reach depending on how things play out on Saturday. Should the Broncos defeat the Buffalo Bills and should the Kansas City Chiefs put a 'W' on the board at home against the Oakland Raiders, Denver wins the AFC West. That's the simplest way for the Broncos to finally win another division title.
How will the AFC West games play out this weekend?
Oakland Raiders (7-7) vs. Kansas City Chiefs (6-8), 11 a.m. MT: Going into Arrowhead Stadium is never easy. Going there in December is even tougher. These two teams are on different extremes after last weekend. The Raiders suffered one of the worst defeats this season by allowing two touchdowns in the final five minutes and then having a field goal blocked as time expired. The Chiefs are riding an emotional high after upsetting the now 13-1 Green Bay Packers. PICK: CHIEFS
Denver Broncos (8-6) vs. Buffalo Bills (5-9), 11 a.m. MT: Sure, the Bills have lost seven straight games, but that doesn't mean the Broncos should overlook them. The Broncos did get a look at the Bills during the preseason, a team far different than the current one or even the one that started 5-2. This is going to be a close one for Denver; however, the Broncos do have Matt Prater to come through when it counts the most. PICK: BRONCOS
San Diego Chargers (7-7) vs. Detroit Lions (9-5), 2:05 p.m. MT: Can the Lions make it a clean sweep of the AFC West this season? They had that thrilling one-point victory over the Raiders last week and blew out the Broncos and Chiefs earlier in the season. The Chargers are playing strong once again in December, and as long as they win and the Broncos lose the AFC West race is still in their grasp. PICK: CHARGERS
