Denver Broncos fans got some news -- part good, part bad -- Tuesday morning as Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post reported a couple of key players participating in practice. According to Jones, the Broncos' starting running back Willis McGahee and starting strong safety Brian Dawkins both practiced today.
McGahee, undergoing a career renascence, leads the team with 990 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns in 2011, averaging 4.8 yards per carry. The Broncos offense relies heavily on its running game, so McGahee's health has played a key role their surprise success.
Meanwhile, Jones also reports starting cornerback Andre Goodman in fact did not practice today. Goodman has 2 interceptions, 8 pass deflections and 2 fumble recoveries in 2011.
