The Denver Broncos travel to Orchard Park, N.Y., for a Christmas Eve matchup against the Buffalo Bills on Saturday. The Broncos, the AFC West leader, will need a victory over the Bills to keep some breathing room ahead of the Oakland Raiders, the San Diego Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs, who all have scenarios to win the division. The Broncos opened as three-point favorites over the Bills, according to Odds Shark, but at least one place has already decided to move it up by half of a point.
After the Bills had started 5-2 and the Broncos at 2-5, this game has changed in importance for the teams. The Broncos, as noted above, are out for a division title. The Bills are on a seven-game losing streak and looking to at least salvage seven wins out of the season.
The over/under for this game is set at 42.5 points, which seems to be a comfortable position right now. With the Broncos offense showing progress over the last several weeks, it isn't quite as much of a risk to project Denver's points total. However, if the Broncos defense shows up again, Ryan Fitzpatrick might have fits with Elvis Dumervil and Von Miller pressuring him all game long.
