In arguably the most anticipated game of the week, the Denver Broncos host the New England Patriots in a battle highlighted by two of the most controversial quarterbacks in the game, Tim Tebow and Tom Brady. The focus of the public will certainly be on those two as the game goes on, particularly given Denver's aspirations as a playoff team following a stunning run of late.
The Patriots recently announced their official inactives for the big game against the Broncos, which are posted here but shown below:
- QB Ryan Mallett
- WR Deion Branch
- LB Brandon Spikes
- S Patrick Chung
- RB Shane Vereen
- OG Nick McDonald
- OT Sebastian Vollmer
The bigger names here are Spikes and Branch. Spikes started six games for the Patriots earlier this season but has battled injuries of late. Branch has had a nice year for New England as well, catching 48 balls for 665 yards and four touchdowns while starting each of the team's first 13 games.
