Brian Dawkins Injury: Broncos Safety Unlikely To Play Vs. Patriots, According To Report

According to a report by NFL Network's Jeff Darlington, Denver Broncos safety Brian Dawkins, who is currently nursing an injured neck, is unlikely to suit up on Sunday vs. the New England Patriots. Darlington also reported that Dawkins did not participate in Denver's customary Saturday walk-through in anticipation of this week's game.

If Dawkins is indeed ruled out, back up Rahim Moore is expected to start in his place. The 38-year-old Dawkins has not missed a game this season, and has only missed five in his two-plus year tenure with the Broncos. With the Broncos going up against the Patriots' pass-heavy, two tight end offense this week, it isn't exactly great timing for Dawkins to miss a game or play with a severe injury.
