In rallying past the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon, the Denver Broncos delivered a huge win both for their division title and playoff prospects. They entered the weekend with the same record as its division-rival Oakland Raiders, but while the Broncos delivered, the Raiders lost a 46-16 decision in Green Bay. It was Oakland's second loss in a row, and it put Denver all by itself in first place in the AFC West.
The San Diego Chargers pulled to within a win of .500 by defeating the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, but with just three regular season games left, it's unlikely that they will be able to catch the Broncos.
The Kansas City Chiefs are losers of five of six following a 37-10 defeat at the hands of the New York Jets on Sunday, and they're essentially relegated to the role of spoiler from here on out. The Chiefs could still have a say in who wins the West, as they close out the 2011 regular season with Oakland and Denver.
