Denver Broncos Injury Update: Brian Dawkins, Robert Ayers Leave Game After Collision

The first quarter of Sunday's game between the Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears unsurprisingly didn't include any scoring, but the Broncos' defense did take a hit when both safety Brian Dawkins and defensive end Robert Ayers were forced to leave the game with injuries.

Both injuries occurred on the same play in a single collision, as Dawkins was driven directly into Ayers' back in the midst of a three-yard run by Bears running back Marion Barber. Both players were down after the play and have since left the game. Denver hasn't officially announced the status of either player yet, so it's unclear at this point whether either player will be good to return later in the game.
