Willis McGahee has turned a corner in his career since joining the Denver Broncos as a free agent this season, but the 30-year-old running back still needs extra rest in order to ensure that he is up for breaking through tackles. Entering Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears, McGahee is questionable for the contest. He is listed as having a knee issue. He missed the first two days of practice before having limited participation on Friday.
McGahee had sat out practices earlier in the season for extra rest, but isn't quite the same as those times. The last time McGahee was questionable for a game was against the New York Jets. He dealt with a hamstring injury and had one of his worst games of the season.
Still, he is expected to play in the game. Lance Ball and Jeremiah Johnson will be the next in line to pick up the carries if McGahee is unable to go or needs to have a lighter load.
