Willis McGahee Fantasy Projection: Denver Broncos RB Continues To Be Viable Option

The play of Willis McGahee this season continues to be one of the most surprising aspects of the Denver Broncos success. After struggling to find playing time in Baltimore last season, McGahee has been tremendous in helping lead a dominant Denver rushing attack.

After going over 100 rushing yards in each of the past two weeks, NumberFire ranks McGahee as the No. 15 RB in its projections. While McGahee has been productive throughout the season when healthy, he will be facing a tough challenge this week against the Chicago Bears. The Bears rushing defense ranks No. 8 in the NFL in opponents rushing yards per game. The Chicago defense hasn't allowed a RB to rush for 100 yards since Jahvid Best rushed for 153 yards in a Week 5 matchup.

If Denver falls behind early or struggles to generate any sort of rhythm on the ground, it wouldn't be surprising to see McGahee's production slip. However, if the Broncos remain in striking range throughout the game, McGahee could receive a lot of touches as Denver looks to wear down the Chicago defense.
