While Eric Decker has served as the No. 1 receiving option for the Denver Broncos throughout the season, the emergence of Demaryius Thomas could hurt his Fantasy Football production as the season continues. However, according to NumberFire, Decker still remains the top candidate to start from the Denver WR core, as he checks in at No. 28 in the projections for this week.
The production from Decker will depend a lot on who the Bears focus on defensively. After his huge game against Minnesota, Thomas might draw more attention from the Chicago defense, which should give Decker more opportunities to get open and make plays. Also, the Bears have a very strong run defense, ranking eighth in the NFL in opponents rushing yards per game.
If the Bears can control the line of scrimmage and force the Broncos to rely on passing the ball, it could give Decker the opportunity for a big game. However, over his past two games, Decker only has five catches for 90 yards and a TD.
