If fantasy owners haven't jumped on Tim Tebow as a starting quarterback for their teams should help be needed there, now might be the time to start considering it (but with precautions). We all know by now that Tebow rushed for 118 yards and threw two touchdowns passes. However, he didn't score a rushing touchdown or throw for more than 124 yards (on 10-of-21 passing). In standard Yahoo! leagues he scored over 24 points and at ESPN he had 23 points.
This week, numberFire projects 14.40 points for the signal caller. But, as always, the rushing numbers are conservative: 10.75 yards and 0.01 touchdowns. The 200 passing yards does seem a bit high. The Kansas City Chiefs don't have a great pass defense, but then Tebow hasn't done much to show that he can pass for high yardage. But Tebow should be a START for those who have placed him in the lineup for the last couple of weeks.
Running back Willis McGahee should also be a start for fantasy owners, but the question is whether he even comes close to his 163-yard, two-touchdown performance again. Clearly the hand injury didn't affect McGahee, but for how long can he carry the load?
