After it appeared that the Oakland Raiders had stolen all the momentum heading into halftime, the Denver Broncos responded with a couple of huge plays in the 3rd quarter to tie the score at 24. Tim Tebow engineered a key drive to start the quarter, which resulted in a TD pass to Eddie Royal.
After the Raiders responded with a TD pass from Carson Palmer to Jacoby Ford, the Broncos bounced back with a field goal from Matt Prater. With the Raiders appearing set to drive for another score, Chris Harris intercepted Palmer to give momentum back to the Broncos. Willis McGahee then ended the 3rd quarter with an explosive 60-yard TD run as time expired.
The Broncos running game has been exceptional throughout the game, with McGahee rushing for 111 yards and Tebow rushing for 91.
