Broncos Sign Tony Carter And Greg Orton To Practice Squad

With the Denver Broncos looking to add depth to their roster, especially after the season ending injury to special teams standout Cassius Vaughn, the team signed two familiar players to its practice squad on Wednesday. The Denver Post reported that the Broncos have signed CB Tony Carter and WR Greg Orton to the practice squad in anticipation of their week 13 match up vs. the Minnesota Vikings.

Both players have a history with Denver. Orton, who is most notable for starring at Purdue, was in camp with the Broncos this year, but he didn't make the team. Carter meanwhile was with the team in 2009, but most recently was on the Vikings practice squad this season. Whether or not that tidbit is merely a coincidence considering this week's match up remains to be seen.
