John Elway Explains Earlier Comments About Tim Tebow

Last week on his weekly Monday radio show appearance, Denver Broncos vice president John Elway told listeners that the team was not any closer to deciding the future quarterback for the team than they were before Tim Tebow became the team's starter. He also said that Tebow had plenty of area to improve upon.

And like most things about Tebow, his caused a huge online stir, especially on Twitter. Elway received some pretty nasty tweets about what he said. So, of course, this week Elway had to revisit those comments in order to quiet down some of those critics. He told listeners (via the Denver Post):

That's why I was taken aback because it wasn't meant to be a strike at Timmy at all. It was just a reality check of where we were at the time. It wasn't a negative.

But then reality and Tim Tebow have never co-existed harmoniously. Elway went on to say that he needs to communicate better with everyone.

It's probably time to start laughing at this kerfuffle, if one hasn't already been doing so.
