The San Diego Chargers have built a 10-0 lead late in the second quarter against the Denver Broncos. After scoring a field goal to start the game, the Chargers had to wait until the second quarter to get the first touchdown of the game. Philip Rivers led the Chargers 91 yards for the score.
Ryan Mathews and Mike Tolbert provided ground support on the drive, but a Rivers 20-yard pass to Randy McMichael at the end of the first quarter gave the Chargers plenty of momentum heading into the second quarter. Rivers an Vincent Jackson finally connected on a pass once Champ Bailey came off him and Andre Goodman guarded him. Rivers ended the drive with a six-yard touchdown pass to Antonio Gates.
