The Denver Broncos needed to only deactivate six players for Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers because the team has only 52 players on the roster currently. No replacement was added for Kyle Orton. Instead of signing Adam Weber off of the team's practice squad to be the team's third quarterback, Brady Quinn will be the lone quarterback behind Tim Tebow. Wide receiver Eric Decker is the emergency quarterback should anything happen to Tebow and Quinn.
The inactives for the Broncos are wide receiver/returner Quan Cosby, fullback Quinn Johnson, offensive lineman TOny Hills and Manny Ramirez, tight end Julius Thomas and defensive end Derrick Harvey. The only real surprise here would be Julius Thomas, who was listed as probable on the injury report, but with Daniel Fells able to play after his concussion, Thomas appears not to be needed. Tim Tebow hasn't used his tight ends much this year.
