Denver Broncos Nominated For 2 Weekly Awards

The Denver Broncos have been nominated for a pair of weekly awards after Thursday night's 17-13 win over the New York Jets. According to the Broncos' team blog, rookie linebacker Von Miller has been nominated for the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week, and the Broncos' game-winning, 95-yard drive in the 4th quarter has been nominated for the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week.

Von Miller, a second overall pick out of Texas A&M University, has started all 10 games this year for the Broncos and has 38 tackles and 9.5 sacks. In Week 11, Miller registered a team-best 10 tackles (or 9 depending on the source; tackles are not an official NFL statistic), including 1.5 sacks and a number of hits on Jets QB Mark Sanchez.

Miller is closing in on the NFL record for sacks by a rookie, currently standing at 14.5, and still have six games remaing on the schedule. Fans can vote for Miller at NFL.com.
