Week 9 NFL Lines And Odds: Broncos Vs. Raiders

The Denver Broncos are facing the Oakland Raiders on the road this Sunday, and the odds makers don't like their chances after last week's brutal loss.

The Denver Broncos got shellacked at home by the Detroit Lions last weekend, which explains why the odds makers have so much faith in the Oakland Raiders to beat them on Sunday. The current odds from our partners over at Odds Shark have the Raiders as seven-point favorites, even though they lost their most recent game 28-0 to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7.

Denver, sitting at 2-5 on the year after their most recent loss, is sticking with second-year quarterback Tim Tebow this week after the recent disastrous start, news that's both surprising and unsurprising. The Broncos continue to evaluate the young quarterback, and the rest of the team, for the future, but the evidence continues to stack up that the former Heisman winner doesn't have what it takes to be a quality player at the sport's highest level.

The Raiders, meanwhile, are starting Carson Palmer for the first time this week, which may give the Broncos a chance to steal a possible upset. He looked pretty awful while replacing Kyle Boller against the Chiefs nearly two weeks ago, and there's a good chance that he won't have shaken off all of the rust by Sunday. The game's over/under is currently set at 45 points, a number that the teams may not reach if both quarterbacks are having issues.
