LaDainian Tomlinson Injury: New York Jets RB Out Against Denver Broncos, According To Report

It appears that the New York Jets will be without running back LaDainian Tomlinson for Thursday night's game against the Denver Broncos, reports Manish Mehta of the NY Daily News. Tomlinson had an MRI on Monday that revealed an MCL sprain that he suffered in Sunday night's loss to the New England Patriots.

Tomlinson hasn't been officially declared out, but it appears unlikely that he will travel with the team on Wednesday to Denver. As a result, the team will use Joe McKnights as Shonn Greene's backup and activate rookie Bilal Powell to take over the third spot on the depth chart.

Back in his days with the San Diego Chargers, Tomlinson had gained 1,540 yards on the ground in 19 games against the Broncos. Could he have been able to be a game-changer in this game?
