Willis McGahee Injury: Denver Broncos RB Could Have Returned In An 'Emergency'

Denver Broncos running back Willis McGahee had just four carries before he left Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs with a hamstring injury. But after the game, McGahee sounded confident that he'll be fine from this latest ailment (via the Denver Post):

"I'll be all right," McGahee said. "I could have come back in in an emergency situation."

That leads one to wonder what an emergency situation at running back is for the Denver Broncos. Knowshon Moreno was also lost to injury in the first quarter on Sunday, this one a knee injury. Lance Ball took over and then carried the ball for 96 yards. Had Ball gone down would Fox have gone back to McGahee or would he have tried sticking fullback Spencer Larsen in there?

While Moreno looks to be out for at least Thursday's game against the New York Jets, McGahee seems like he should be ready to play. And if he isn't Ball and Tim Tebow can take care of things once again on the ground.
