LaDainian Tomlinson Injury: NY Jets RB Will Have MRI, Could Miss Thursday Game Against Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos and the New York Jets play on Thursday night, but the Jets could be without running back LaDainian Tomlinson after a Sunday night knee injury.

The New York Jets and the Denver Broncos are going to have a short practice time this week since they play each other in Denver on Thursday night. The Broncos are hurting with injuries to Willis McGahee and Knowshon Moreno, but there status for the game is up in the air.

For the Jets, LaDainian Tomlinson could potentially miss the game. He injured his knee late in the 37-16 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday night. Tomlinson is expected to have an MRI on the knee on Monday, reports ESPN New York

Tomlinson is Shonn Greene's backup and has seen his playing time match that role. He has 167 yards on 46 carries with one touchdown run. He's been involved in the passing game more by hauling in 25 passes for 312 yards. Joe McKnight has 19 carries for 53 yards and will likely fill in as Greene's backup should Tomlinson's injury keep him out this week.
