The Denver Broncos are visiting the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday as they hope to win for a third time in four games. They're currently just a game out of first place in the AFC West thanks to the division's mediocrity, as the Chiefs, Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers are all tied for first with 4-4 records.
The Chiefs enter this game a bit downtrodden, having lost 31-3 to the previously winless Miami Dolphins last week. It's been an odd year for the Chiefs. They began the year by losing two of their best players, safety Eric Berry and running back Jamaal Charles, to season-ending injuries, as well as their first three games. They proceeded to go on a four-game winning streak, fostering a good deal of hope for a postseason appearance. Then last week happened, when one of the league's worst teams positively embarrassed them.
It's pretty hard to believe now, but the Broncos could actually be in second place by the end of this week.
