Although few fans probably noticed anything due to the tremendous game that he played last week, Champ Bailey suffered a hand injury early in the victory over the Oakland Raiders. While the injury isn't serious enough to force him to miss any action, according to Jeff Legwood of the Denver Post, Bailey will have to wear a splint on his right hand when the Broncos face the Chiefs on Sunday.
This week, however, Bailey will play with a splint on his right hand. He suffered a dislocated middle finger and a small fracture on the finger against the Raiders last Sunday.
He has worn a splint on the finger this week but hasn't missed any practice time.
He suffered the injury early in the game, when he knocked the ball away from Raiders wide receiver Jacoby Ford.
Bailey will face a tough individual matchup as he will do his best to try and slow down Dwayne Bowe. Bowe will certainly be looking to make a statement, as Bailey held him without a catch in a 10-6 Broncos loss last season.
