The NFL began its Thursday Night Football schedule and the first game saw the Oakland Raiders defeat the San Diego Chargers, temporarily putting the Raiders in the AFC West lead at 5-4. How will the rest of the weekend play out? Here are some predictions:
New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons (+1) - This is likely to turn into a high-scoring affair. Drew Brees could e in for another big day. SAINTS
Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals (+3) -The Bengals surprisingly lead the AFC North while the Steelers want to make up for losing both games to the Baltimore Ravens this season. BENGALS
St. Louis Rams at Cleveland Browns (-2.5) - Even if the Rams have quarterback Sam Bradford ready to go, this could be a long game for them. It could be that way for the Browns, too. Could we see a 6-3 game? BROWNS
Buffalo Bills at Dallas Cowboys (-5.5) - The Bills continue to play for the AFC East lead, a sight they have had trouble keeping in view for years. They will share the division lead if they pull off the upset. COWBOYS
Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts (+3) - Two wins are better than none, right? The Jaguars might be bad, but they aren't on the Colts' level. JAGUARS
Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5) - Don't doubt Tim Tebow, but will the Chiefs stop the team's new read-option offense? BRONCOS
Washington Redskins at Miami Dolphins (-4) -The Redskins are in a free fall while the Dolphins just picked up their first win of the season. Will they both continue to follow these current paths? REDSKINS
Arizona Cardinals at Philadelphia Eagles - No line. Will Kevin Koln be able to go for the Cardinals? It might not matter, but the Eagles certainly aren't as good as many thought they would be this season. EAGLES
Houston Texans at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+3.5) - The Texans are in a strong position to win the AFC South for the first time. The Bucs have one of the worst defenses in the league. TEXANS
Tennessee Titans at Carolina Panthers (-3.5) - Will Cam Newton be able to derail the Titans' hopes of sticking around in the AFC South? PANTHERS
Baltimore Ravens at Seattle Seahawks (+6.5) - The Seahawks are likely to stay at two wins playing against a solid Ravens team. RAVENS
Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears (-2.5) - Will the Bears be able to make up for their earlier loss this season to the Lions. The opposing defensive line hopes not, having been after Cutler that entire game. LIONS
New York Giants at San Francisco 49ers (-3.5) - The 49ers continue their surprising run this season by standing at 7-1. Both teams are in command of their divisions, but the Giants need a win more since they have just a two-game lead. 49ers
New England Patriots at New York Jets (-1) - The winner of this game will hold the AFC East lead, possibly with the Bills should they also win. The Patriots just lost to the Giants, and losing to both New York teams in back-to-back weeks would be tough to swallow. PATRIOTS
Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers (-13) - Any double-digit line is always a risk, but Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are certainly a team that cover it. PACKERS
