Week 5 NFL Injury Report: Champ Bailey Returns For Broncos, Antonio Gates Unlikely To Play

The Denver Broncos return Champ Bailey to the lineup. He will likely cover Vincent Jackson for most of the game.

On Sunday, the Denver Broncos are expected to have Champ Bailey back on the gridiron. He will draw the difficult assignment of covering Vincent Jackson. This will be an interesting matchup since Jackson is dealing with a combination of an abdominal injury and a hamstring injury. He is expected to play multiple snaps, but how healthy will he be? Bailey didn't practice with any limitations but will he really be in game shape?

Chargers tight end Antonio Gates is still dealing with his foot injury and is listed as doubtful. Don't expect any miracle recovery. He won't be back for a few more weeks.

So, for those looking at the injury reports for fantasy football purposes, let's break it down:

Broncos
Knowshon Moreno, Probable - Even when healthy, Moreno is going to split carries with Willis McGahee, who had his second 100-yard rushing game. SIT MORENO

Chargers
Antonio Gates, Doubtful - He's not playing. SIT GATES
Vincent Jackson, Probable - Even with the injury and going up against Champ Bailey, he should still be a must-start option. START JACKSON
