On Monday, the Denver Broncos received official approval from the NFL to wear orange jerseys as their standard home uniform starting in 2012. The Broncos had put in a request to the league offices back in February and had to wait until now for the official stamp of approval. Had the NFL not been gearing up for a lockout, the league meetings in March would likely have approved the change then.
The team will wear the orange jerseys for eight or nine games and go back to the dark blue for the other one or two contests.
It's high time the Broncos get back to the colors we all best remember them in. It's time for the Orange Crush defense to take on the league again. The dark blue uniforms were for a different era. It's time to start a new one.
