The latest injury report from the Detroit Lions lists quarterback Matthew Stafford as questionable for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos, while running back Jahvid Best is out for certain.
Stafford fully participated in Detroit Lions practice on Friday and the Detroit Free Press' Dave Birkett says Stafford is on track to start on Sunday. Lions coach Jim Schwartz was less forthcoming and unwilling to name a starter following practice Friday:
"A lot of things can happen between now and Sunday," Schwartz said. "I’ve learned not to make decisions on Fridays. Good and bad things have happened on Fridays or Saturdays."
Still, it sounds like you should go ahead and bet on Stafford getting the nod.
Best is the only Lion who is out for sure, though Rashied Davis, Nick Fairley and Vincent Fuller each are doubtful. Sammie Hill is questionable along with Stafford. Rob Sims, Gosder Cherilus, Willie Young and Chris Houston are probable for Sunday.
