Willis McGahee, Brian Dawkins Miss Denver Broncos' Thursday Practice

After having Tuesday surgery on his broken right hand, Denver Broncos running back Willis McGahee has missed the last two practices. McGahee's status for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions is likely to be "out" when Friday's injury report is released.

Also sitting out Thursday's practice were defensive end Elvis Dumervil and safety Brian Dawkins. The former hurt his ankle against the Miami Dolphins and might attempt to practice on Friday. He is expected to be inactive for Sunday's game. Dawkins was at practice on Wednesday, but Andrew Mason of Max Denver suggests it could be a rest day for the veteran. McGahee had a similar day of rest leading up to the Dolphins game.
