Week 8 NFL Picks And Predictions: Lions-Broncos, Chargers-Chiefs Take Center Stage

How will the NFL Week 8 games play out? Here are some predictions.

The AFC West will sort itself out a bit on Sunday when the San Diego Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs clash at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday Night Football. The Denver Broncos will also look to stay somewhere in the background for the AFC West title when they face the Detroit Lions on Sunday. A third win keeps alive a small chance of taking the division, but don't hold one's breath counting on that happening.

How will this week's games play out?

Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans (-9) - It's hard to get lower than a 62-7 loss, which the Colts suffered at the arm of Drew Brees and his New Orleans Saints last Sunday. TITANS

New Orleans Saints at St. Louis Rams (+13) - The Rams are almost as bad as the Colts are and will be without quarterback Sam Bradford again in the most likely scenario. Drew Brees is going to have another big day. SAINTS

Miami Dolphins at New York Giants (-10) - The Miami Dolphins just collapsed in the final five minutes against the Denver Broncos and went on to lose the game in overtime. The Giants, meanwhile, are coming off a bye week, but can they cover the spread? DOLPHINS

Minnesota Vikings at Carolina Panthers (-3.5) - It's a battle of rookie quarterbacks with Christian Ponder visiting Cam Newton. Time for Newton to give the Panthers its third victory of the season. PANTHERS

Arizona Cardinals at Baltimore Ravens (-13) - Kevin Kolb hasn't quite had the impact many in Arizona hoped he would have. Losers of five straight, the Cardinals face a Ravens team that wants to make up for Monday's loss to the Jaguars. RAVENS

Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans (-9.5) - The Jaguars just gutted out a victory against the Baltimore Ravens and they are in a good position to at least not lose by 10 points on Sunday. JAGUARS

Washington Redskins at Buffalo Bills (-6) - The Bills have lost two of their last three games while the Redskins enter this game on a two-game losing streak. This game will be played in Toronto. Buffalo doesn't have the greatest defense in the world. REDSKINS

Detroit Lions at Denver Broncos (+3) - Is it Tim Tebow time again? Maybe if the Lions don't have fully healthy Matthew Stafford. BRONCOS

New England Patriots at Pittsburgh Steelers (+3) -Tom Brady vs. Ben Roethlisberger. PATRIOTS

Cleveland Browns at San Francisco 49ers (-9.5) - The Browns beat the Seahawks, 6-3, last Sunday. This week they'll face a real NFL team. 49ers

Cincinnati Bengals at Seattle Seahawks (+3) - Did you hear? The Seahawks lost, 6-3, to the Browns last Sunday. Now they face the Bengals, who have a top-five defense. BENGALS

Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles (-3.5) - Is this the week the Eagles finally get on track? That seems to be the question for the last several weeks. COWBOYS

San Diego Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs (+3.5) - The Chiefs have won three straight games and are very much still in the AFC West race. However, the Chargers will be a truer test of how far they've come since starting 3-0. CHARGERS
