Fantasy Football Week 8 Start/Sit: Tim Tebow Remains Denver Broncos' Best Bet For Fantasy Start

Tim Tebow receives start No. 2 this season for the Denver Broncos and he'll go up against the Detroit Lions on Sunday at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Given his dual-threat as a runner and as a passer, Tebow remains the best fantasy option to start but also a high risk. According to numberFire, Tebow is projected to gain 15.69 points; however, as we saw last week, the rushing yards are on the low end of projections for him. Tebow wound up gaining 65 yards on the ground since he is an improvisational quarterback. That quality is what makes him worthy of starting.

Knowshon Moreno isn't projected for a great day by numberFire, but he will be the team's starter at running back with Willis McGahee's broken hand preventing him from taking the field. As such, he is projected for 6.31 points right now. Given Moreno's lack of success in the league so far, those numbers he has seem about right. With Tebow also able to run, Moreno's fantasy numbers could suffer.

NumberFire doesn't have enough data to project anything for Demaryius Thomas yet, but Tebow did target him several times against the Miami Dolphins. Thomas did have a touchdown reception from Tebow in that game as well. He might be worth a start as a No. 3 receiver or in a flex slot.
