Week 8 NFL Lines And Odds: Lions Vs. Broncos

The Denver Broncos will look to build on last week's comeback win, but they'll have to do it as underdogs once again. The visiting Detroit Lions opened as three-and-a-half point favorites.

Tim Tebow made his first start of the 2011 season for the Denver Broncos last week and led his team to a dramatic comeback win over the Miami Dolphins. This week, the Broncos host the 5-2 Detroit Lions, who figure to present a bigger challenge. But while the Lions look the part of a playoff team at this point in the season, they've had their struggles of late--two losses in a row and key injuries to running back Jahvid Best and quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Vegas still expects the Lions to win this game, though; according to Odds Shark, Detroit is a 3-1/2 point favorite over Denver, and the over/under has been set at 44-1/2 points. The Broncos most likely will not have to contend with Best, who is expected to miss Sunday's game with a concussion. Stafford is day-to-day with an ankle sprain and his status remains up in the air.

In any case, Denver is going to need Tebow to start a little faster this time around.
