Elvis Dumervil Has '50-50' Chance To Play Against Detroit Lions, According To Report

There won't be official word on Denver Broncos defensive end Elvis Dumervil until Wednesday when the team practices, but things don't look good for the 2009 sacks leader. According to the Denver Post, Dumervil won't practice at all this week and will likely be listed as questionable (50-50 odds). He hurt his ankle in Sunday's victory over the Miami Dolphins.

When Dumervil missed games earlier in the season with a shoulder injury, Jason Hunter replaced him in the lineup and that same move will likely occur this week. For the season, Hunter has 15 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.

Dumervil's impact this season has been non-existent this season due to injuries. And the six-year, $61.5 million contract he signed before the start of the 2010 season (which he missed completely) doesn't look so great right now. He makes $14 million this season and next before the money lowers in the successive years of the deal.
