The Denver Broncos don't look quite that bad this week after defeating the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. It was an ugly win: 55 minutes of ineptitude followed by five minutes of exciting comeback and then overtime. Surely that must move the Broncos up the NFL power rankings this week. At least in Joel Thorman's SB Nation Week 8 NFL power rankings that happened:
25. Denver Broncos (2-4, LW: 27): Interesting things in Denver. Tim Tebow may need a few more dramatic comebacks with games coming up against the Lions and then at Oakland and at Kansas City.
It was only a two-spot move, but it looks a whole lot better than every other week. We might quibble with having the 2-5 Jacksonville Jaguars above the Broncos at No. 24, but an ugly win over the Baltimore Ravens is nothing to scoff at. Beating the Dolphins, on the other hand, is nothing special. It happened five times before Sunday's game.
The Dolphins, as it turn out, take the No. 32 spot this week for the loss. Not even a 62-7 defeat for the 0-7 Indianapolis Colts can make them the worst team in the league in thee power rankings.
