NFL Power Rankings, Week 7: Denver Broncos Move Up One Spot In SB Nation's Latest

The Denver Broncos didn't play on Sunday, preventing NFL power rankings creators from dropping them down any farther in Week 7. In fact, they might actually move up in most rankings. Take Joel Thorman's Week 7 NFL power rankings: the Broncos moved up one spot from No. 28 to No. 27. And of course it's all about The Tebow:

27. Denver Broncos (1-4, LW: 28): It's Tebow Time for the Broncos. Unfortunately, Tebow doesn't play defense.

The defense for the Broncos has not played well this season, but injuries will cause that to happen. While that isn't an excuse for them, there were signs of improvement against the San Diego Chargers. Playing a short field most of the day, the Broncos kept the Chargers to five field goals and just two touchdowns.

The Broncos were helped over the weekend by the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Minnesota Vikings losing. The Jaguars have already gone to rookie Blaine Gabbert while the Vikings appear to have started the Christian Ponder era. These teams came in at Nos. 28 and 29, respectively.
