On Saturday, ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio quoted Peter King, who was quoting John Elway, that the Broncos' new vice president of football operations--well, yeah, it's getting confusing. Basically, Peter King has a quote from John Elway:
"I don’t think Tim Tebow is a good quarterback at this level at this time," Elway told Peter King of NBC and Sports Illustrated.
And so this picks up steam because it is turned into an "Elway is not a fan of Tebow!!!!! The sky is falling" situation.
Except it isn't. People always forget about the qualifiers other people used. "At this time." You know, after seven games, three starts, Tebow isn't a "good" quarterback. But let's just forget about that qualifier and turn this into a made up controversy.
The Broncos, being a transparent organization now, have used the power of Twitter to quell any false rumor-mongering.
Any speculation that the Denver Broncos are considering moving Tim is completely false.
This came on the heels of Elway reiterating his comments from Wednesday, that Tebow can be a very good NFL quarterback and that the team is "pleased" with Tebow's first season.
While Elway's comments don't guarantee Tebow anything in 2011 (or whenever the NFL plays its next season), they are nowhere close to saying that Tebow's time with the Broncos is short.
