Super Bowl XLV: Full Lineup Of Musical Acts Announced

On Friday afternoon, the NFL has announced its full lineup of musical acts for Super Bowl 45. During the pregame show, country singer Keith Urban and Maroon 5 will perform. Lea Michele, who plays Rachel on FOX's TV show Glee, will perform "America the Beautiful." (Did you hear that Glee will air immediately after FOX's coverage of the Super Bowl? Talk about synergy.)

Previously announced were Christina Aguilera to sing the National Anthem and the Black Eyed Peas to perform the halftime show.

It's a bit more current, especially for the halftime show. Previous halftime acts include The Who, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. In 2010, Carrie Underwood sand the National Anthem and Queen Latifah sand "America the Beautiful."

Ever since 2004, the NFL has gone the safe route for the Super Bowl, hoping to avoid another incident like Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction." Nipplegate's ripple is still felt today.
