Report: Jim Mora Jr. Withdraws Name From Consideration For Broncos Defensive Coordinator Job

Though it appeared that Jim Mora Jr. was the leading candidate to become the next Denver Broncos defensive coordinator following his Tuesday interiew, it appears as though the former NFL head coach will withdraw from any coaching searching, according to Jay Glazer:

Just got a call from Jim Mora Jr., who said he's decided to take his name out of denver & philly jobs, didn't think they're rt fit rt nowless than a minute ago via ÜberTwitter

Mora joined the NFL Network in 2010, but apparently he wants to take an extra year off before returning to the sidelines. Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post believes Mora was interviewing teams as well, which would lead one to believe that neither team is the right fit for him.

John Fox will now need to look in a different direction. The Packers' defensive line coach, Mike Trgovac, is a candidate, though the Broncos will need to wait a week to interview him. The Packers play the Chicago Bears for the NFC Championship this Sunday, making Trgovac available, win or lose, during Pro Bowl week. Trgovac was Fox's defensive coordinator in Carolina from 2003-2008.
