Colts' Bill Polian Says 18-Game NFL Game Season Is A Lock

During Monday night's weekly radio show, the Indianapolis Colts team president called it a "fait accompli" and said the debate is over. Polian is a member of the league's competition committee and has worked in the league office.

Back in 2008, Broncos' owner Pat Bowlen expressed reserved support for an 18-game regular season schedule.

By eliminating two preseason games, owners will see less empty seats as only one home preseason game will be played. This will likely extend the season into late February as football before Labor Day weekend would likely be an unpopular move.
