Denver Broncos' running back Knowshon Moreno returned to practice on Thursday and should be in line to start on Sunday against the Houston Texans. However, fantasy projections are not giving much to Moreno. ESPN.com's fantasy projections give Moreno only 13 yards. Moreno's injured ribs and the scrambling ability of Tim Tebow are what downgrade their projections. And ESPN's fantasy experts have Knowshon Moreno as the No. 25 running back this week,
However, this is too pessimistic for Moreno. While Tebow will certainly offer another dimension to the ground game, it's not as though the offense will be designed to have him rush 20 times again. Still, Moreno will be a risky fantasy play because of his rib injury. Follow his injury update on Saturday before looking for another option.
Tim Tebow, however, does better in ESPN's projections, which give him 15 points, mostly due to a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown. The Texans' defense is poor, so if Tebow can click with his wide receivers it could be a better than expected day for the rookie. If anyone plays in a two-QB league, Tebow would be a good gamble.
