Thankfully, the Denver Broncos and their fans receive a breather this week with the team on a bye. However, the AFC West is still in action with the top two teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Oakland Raiders, playing a late afternoon game and the San Diego Chargers heading to Houston to face the Texans.
San Diego Chargers Vs. Houston Texans - 1:00 p.m. ET
Prediction: Chargers 27, Texans 17
The San Diego Chargers have the No. 1 passing offense in the league with Philip Rivers at the helm. Rivers averages around 315 passing yards a game, while the Texan's pass defense allows just under 300 yards a game, worst in the league. The Chargers also have the top passing defense and the second-best rush defense in the league. The Chargers are currently 3-5 on the season, but they won't add to the loss column this week.
↵Kansas City Chiefs Vs. Oakland Raiders
Prediction: Chiefs 24, Raiders 21
This game features a match-up between the top two rushing games in the league. The Chiefs average 190.4 yards per game and the Raiders check in with 168.5 yards. Neither passing game is outstanding (the Chiefs are dead last), but the Raiders could take advantage of the Chiefs' 23rd ranked passing defense to make this a close game. In the end, this game will decided by which running back has the better game: the Chiefs' Jamaal Charles or the Raiders' Darren McFadden.
