The Denver Broncos are losing, 26-13, to the St. Louis Rams at halftime. Rams quarterback Sam Bradford, the 2010 first overall pack, has made the Broncos pass defense look foolish to the tune of 216 yards and three touchdowns in the first half.
The Broncos jumped out to an early 7-0 lead when Knowshon Moreno scored a four-yard touchdown on the team’s first drive. Matt Prater added a 49-yard field goal to give the Broncos a 10-0 lead. But then the team sputtered on both sides of the ball.
Bradford continually led drives down the length of the field and twice found tight end Billy Bajema wide open for eventual touchdowns. This rookie quarterback looks anything but one.
Kicker Josh Brown added two field goals and had one missed extra point.
Kyle Orton is only 9-of-18 for 112 yards, which means Brandon Lloyd is having a quiet game, too. Knowshon Moreno has had some nice runs (eight carries for 47 yards), but the ground attack disappeared in the second half.
It will be hard to believe the Broncos can come back
