Happy Thanksgiving to everyone checking in today! Today most likely means a long day of football, delicious meals and good times with the family (or maybe those awkward conversations with family members only seen once a year).
↵Here is a viewers' guide to football today:
↵New England Patriots vs. Detroit Lions - 10:30 a.m. MT - CBS
The New England Patriots are tied for the AFC East lead with the New York Jets at 8-2 while the Detroit Lions are at the bottom of the NFC North with a 2-8 record. When will the Lions ever be relevant in Thanksgiving Day game?
New Orleans Saints vs. Dallas Cowboys - 2:15 p.m. MT - FOX
Another match-up between teams with records that are reverse images of each other. The defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints are 7-3 while the Dallas Cowboys are 3-7 and have interim coach Jason Garrett at the helm. Dallas has played better since Garrett took over, so this one could turn into an interesting contest.
Cincinnati Bengals vs. New York Jets - 6:20 p.m. MT - NFL Network
Adding a third game to the Thanksgiving Day schedule satisfies everyone's football appetite even more, and last year we were able to watch the Denver Broncos beat the New York Giants, 26-6. This year everyone is treated to the Bengals and Jets on the NFL Network. The 8-2 Jets should easily handle the 2-8 Bengals.
And don't forget that the Colorado Avalanche face off against the Edmonton Oilers at 7:00 p.m. MT on the NHL Network
