Fantasy Football Player Rankings, Week 11: Final Look At Starts And Sits For Broncos And Chargers

With fantasy players readying their rosters for Sunday, let’s take a quick look at the major players at each position for the Denver Broncos and the San Diego Chargers

QB
Start both Philip Rivers and Kyle Orton. Owners don’t sit the top two fantasy quarterbacks for any reason other than injury.

RB
Mike Tolbert is still the best bet for any Chargers running back with Ryan Mathews listed as doubtful. Darren Sproles will back him up and be the change-of-pace back, but Tolbert is the main option.

The Broncos’ Knowshon Moreno finally found his rhythm in last week’s game against the Chiefs because Josh McDaniels was able to find the correct balance between passing and rushing. Look for good results going forward.

WR/TE
Antonio Gates is listed as questionable and fantasy owners will need to make a decision on Sunday if they want to start a backup or risk not receiving any points on Monday in case he does not play. Malcom Floyd returns and should be a frequent target of Rivers’.

Update: Randy McMichael, Gates' backup, would be good insurance if Gates is declared inactive.

Brandon Lloyd continues to be a great asset for fantasy owners and should have another strong game for the Broncos. Jabar Gaffney is a solid third wide receiver who has racked up 50-yard games over the last several weeks.

Defense
San Diego has a strong defense (No. 3 in passing defense, No. 4 in rushing defense), but the Denver Broncos are one of the worst defensive teams in the league. Definitely don’t start the Broncos’ defense, which has the No. 19 passing defense and the No. 30 rushing defense.
