Fantasy Football Player Rankings, Week 11: Chargers' Mike Tolbert Could Have Major Fantasy Impact

The Denver Broncos-San Diego Chargers game on Monday could feature a solid number of points scored on each side, and if anyone is looking at the Chargers’ ground game Mike Tolbert would be the guy to start. Ryan Mathews has barely practiced this week, which means Tolbert will likely receive the majority of hand-offs from Philip Rivers.

Tolbert had a span of five straight games with a rushing touchdown that was snapped in week 9 against the Houston Texans. During week 4 against the Arizona Cardinals, Tolbert rushed for 100 yards, his best yardage game so far this season. The Denver Broncos, who were able to stop Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles last weekend, still have the 30th-ranked rush defense (143.1 yards).

The San Diego Union-Tribune’s Chargers beat writer Kevin Acee believes Tolbert will be a good start this week for fantasy owners.

As for the Broncos, Knowshon Moreno had his first 100 rushing yard game of the season after struggling on the field and recovering from injury. With the Broncos finding stability on the offensive line, Moreno should have an excellent run through the rest of the season.
