Chiefs Vs. Broncos: Kyle Orton Leads Denver To 35-10 Lead Over Kansas City At Halftime

The Broncos have looked like the team every Denver fan wanted them to look like this season: hungry, determined, powerful. Early in the first quarter, Kyle Orton struck for his first touchdown pass with Knowshon Moreno making a 17-yard reception. By the end of the first quarter, Orton had spread the ball around to his other receivers, and Brandon Lloyd and Jabar Gaffney each caught a touchdown pass. Gaffney made an impressive catch on the 40-yard throw as he made it over his shoulder with three Chiefs defenders surrounding him.The Broncos led 21-0 at the end of the first quarter.

Tim Tebow scored his third rushing touchdown of the season when he made a one-yard rush into the end zone. The Broncos went up 28-0.

Running back Knowshon Moreno has been able to find gaps in the Kansas City Chiefs defense and has made the most of it. He has 67 yards on eight carries. He is averaging 8.4 yards per carry. Josh McDaniels will want to stick with Moreno during the second half to protect this lead.

The defense has looked reinvigorated with four sacks of Matt Cassel. On the sack by Mario Haggan, Jason Hunter picked up the fumble that resulted and took the ball 75 yards to the end zone. The Broncos took a 35-0 lead.

The Chiefs scored 10 points during the last two minutes of the game, and Matt Cassel came up limping after completing the five-yard touchdown pass to Jamaal Charles.

The Broncos can't let up in the second half of this game.
