Fantasy Football Players Rankings, Week 10: Denver Broncos Wide Receivers

The Denver Broncos' Kyle Orton and Brandon Lloyd have been one of the top quarterback-wide receiver duos this year. Lloyd currently leads the league in receiving yards with 876, with Atlanta Falcons wide receiver checking in second with 796 yards. Lloyd's done this with a 20.9 yard per catch average so he is the deep threat for the Denver Broncos. Though he has three fewer receptions that fellow teammate Jabar Gaffney, Lloyd has been Kyle Orton's target 79 times this season, best on the team.

Anyway it's broken down, Lloyd is the best receiver on this team. He has 17 plays of 20-plus yards, averages 109.8 yards a game and 39 of his catches have gone for first downs. This is a guy fantasy owners should start every Sunday, even with the Broncos playing poorly as a team. As long as Kyle Orton will throw the ball to win games for the Broncos, Brandon Lloyd is going to be on the other end of the pass more often than not.

In ESPN.com's wide receiver rankings for week 10, Lloyd comes in as the eighth best wide receiver this week. Farther down the list, Jabar Gaffney and Eddie Royal come in at No. 40 and No. 46. Kyle Orton does like to spread the ball around to his receivers, which helps both Gaffney and Royal. Both would be decent options for a third wide receiver this week.

The Denver Broncos have the eighth best passing defense this season, which doesn't work too much in favor of the Kansas City Chiefs. However, Dwayne Bowe has been putting up decent numbers in a passing offense that is near the very bottom of the league. He's No. 18 in ESPN's rankings and is projected to get 12 points this Sunday. He's had two games of 20-plus points this year, too.

Verdict: Start Brandon Lloyd without hesitation, but use Jabar Gaffney and Eddie Royal as third options at the position; start Dwayne Bowe and hope he can beat the Broncos' secondary (unless you're a Broncos fan).
